As the Legal Assistant at Kumararatne Law, Carly handles a diverse range of administrative tasks, including client communications. With aspirations of becoming a lawyer, she is enthusiastic about contributing to and gaining insight into the practice of immigration law.

A recent graduate of the University of Ottawa, Carly earned an Honours Bachelor's degree in Political Science with a Minor in Law. Passionate about international law and its intersection with domestic immigration systems, she gained valuable insights while serving as Co-President of the Mock Trial and Moot Court Society. During her studies, she wrote extensively on international human rights mechanisms and completed a thesis on Pre-Removal Risk Assessment from a Human Rights-Based Approach to Law.

Outside of work, Carly (is attempting to become) an avid runner and enjoys exploring different coffee shops and bars in Ottawa.
